Kay and Friends members have been performing together for over three decades.

 Most of our performances are private events, but please join us for these special public performances:

Tarrytown United Methodist Church presents Kay & Friends in their annual Pops Concert with performances at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2017.  Performing at home and abroad for over three decades, this dynamic quintet includes Kay Kidd on piano, Art Kidd on drums and vocals, Javier Chaparro on violin, Jim Warth on saxophone, and Evan Arredondo on bass, along with the magnificent voice of Gerardo Ramos.  Special guests will be the Perfect Peace Choir of Wesley United Methodist Church and Tim Curry Memorial Scholar for 2017, Anthony Hubbard. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall for this stirring hour of rags to rock and gospel to big band! 

Please make reservations for you and your friends soon, as seating is limited!  Please contact Kay Kidd at kay@kayandfriends.com or call Kay at 512 751 0301.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Tim Curry Memorial Scholarship for music students at Huston-Tillotson University. 

There is a suggested donation of $20 per person and less for students. Contributions can be made at the concert as well as before and after.  You can also pay by mail at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2601 Exposition Blvd., Austin, TX  78703, or give online at  tumc.church, click on GIVE ONLINE on the right side of the screen, enter the amount of your contribution, select Kay & Friends Concert in the Select A Fund box, and follow the trail from there.

The Fredericksburg Music Club will once again host Kay & Friends in their season closer on May 20, 2018, 3:00 PM.  This concert is free and open to the public, and will be held at the First Methodist Church in Fredericksburg.  No reservations are needed.  Just show up and join the fun!

On Sundays Kay plays for the 8:30 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary and with band members at the 11:00 o'clock worship service in the Fellowship Hall at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2601 Exposition Blvd., Austin. 

- A unique blend of popular and classical music, vintage jazz standards, swing, ballads, 50's & 60's, easy listening from the 20's to present, big band, historical music, rock & roll, Latin, country, show music, ethnic & folk

- For special events, weddings, receptions, conventions, recording sessions & social events.  Their widely acclaimed potpourri concerts include something for everyone to enjoy from jazz to classical chamber music, and from ragtime to Broadway.

- Frequently they provide ambient music for dinner, ending the evening with an appropriate blend of dance music. Kay and Friends has built a reputation on an ability to adapt their repertoire to the needs and desires of each client and situation.

- Soloists and ensembles up to 9 pieces to accommodate your taste, budget, and size of your gathering, with our 5 featured performers and a select group of colleagues who range from cellists to singers to trumpeters, and guitarists who sing and play many styles of music.
